Here is a miniature carload of five clowns in full career. They valiantly press on. The road careens! They remain as one. The big top fades. The whale has secured the waters and the oliphant is in hot pursuit.
The three wheeled mini car is a 1957 Messerschmidt KR20. The master clowns are Joe Grimaldi, Emmett Kelly, Lou Jacobs, Enrico Caruso singing the part of the mad clown Canio in Pagliacci, and rodeo clown Slim Pickens on the tail as Major T. J. “King” Kong from Stanley Kubrick’s Dr. Strangelove.
